New to the G scene. Honolulu, HI

Hey everyone, I got my new ride a couple days ago and I am new to the scene. I have a 2005 G35 Coupe, Laser Red, Auto. Here are some pictures.
I'm from Honolulu, HI.

The Goods are uploaded. here's the bad.

The bad.

*The plastic is faded, any solution how I could restore that? I was told use tire shine, but on my old car that was only temporary!

*AHH! RUST SPOT! it was one of the first things I noticed. As you can see, it is emerging! Any solutions? Sand and.... paint (do not know where to get the paint)..

*I only noticed this today. The paint is faded, any way to restoring this? .

*The rubber seal for the sunroof is cracking. How do you replace this? I'm afraid of "in car showers". In my 89' I had that problem. LMK!

*Lastly, I have a lot of rock chipping. All around the car you could see chip marks from rocks. Any way how I should restore it? touch up paint? I do not know how to use it. haha. smh.. Educate me. Thank you!

*Also, there is a big tear on the driver seat. Previous owner was an abuser (HOW COULD YOU!).

*Passenger side door cannot be unlocked using the alarm or the lock/unlock switch in the car. Driver's side does open though. Maybe its the actuator? Any help on this? I changed the battery on the remote, still same problem.

The rust would be my very first concern, have a body shop sand it down and repaint that area. Your paint can be restored by doing a complete detail, strip/clean and wax. The sunroof rubber needs replacing like you said before you get caught in a major rain. Check with our autoparts guru Rick @ 714-650-8586 (parts dept) Good Luck & Welcome to DRIVER!

Aloha. Some kid shot my car with a bb gun a while ago n chipped the paint and it rusted a little after the rain, so what i did was put a small piece of scotch tape over it to prevent further rusting, and it worked like a charm.

And for the passenger wont unlock, i got the same prob too lol

thanks, and yes, rust is my first concern. Looking at how its erupting bothers me. It throws off the whole "luxurious" look.

For the trim I used http://www.turtlewax.com/product-detail.aspx?prodid=64 and it's been working pretty great for me. Just needs some dusting sometimes, but other than that, it's made the trim look so much better. An alternative could be to paint it over or even (last resort) plasti-dip it. It's the poorman's alternative, but you gotta' do what you gotta' do.

And welcome to the forums and to the G-scene! I know you Hawaiians bring some great products! You guys know about stance

Luckily my cars '07 so the fading wasn't that bad. Apply heavy coats (about 10 minutes in between to allow for drying) and see what happens. Just return if the results aren't as desired.
