Hood Bra

Besides the clear hood bra, is there one that covers only the hood? Anyone have it on your car?

uh.. for example:

I think it looks pretty cool, but I'm not too sure how it would look on a G.

Aside from a clearbra, please, please don't torture your car like that. No car deserves that. No car.

I don't get why people get them. They protect your paint, yes. But I never see anyone ever taking it off. Its like a couch with plastic on it. I'd rather enjoy it for what it really is.

yea unless you like it for the style of it. the rest of the car will get rock chips on it. so when you take it off it will be the only perfect paint on it. i havnet seen one on a g yet tho. imo dont get it but to each is own

Not a good idea. The bra will get dirt and debris under it and end up scratching the hell out of your hood.

Just say no to bras on a G (and some women )

I've seen one on a black G and its not something I would use.

Just go with a clear bra, it looks and works better.

Not is this life time! No they don't look cool and from past experience they will do more damage than good. If your intent is to protect your hood from rock chips get a clear bra....that's the right way!

I don't think i would get the FULL FACE mask bra. I was thinking, only the hood. I had one on my 89' prelude. It looked pretty good. lol. But on a G, I guess it can't pull it off.

A lot of guys got them for "Free" when they bought their cars.. There were a ton of guys with them back in 04-06 on the forums.. (not running them but they had it sitting around)..

Sounded like a lot of guys were happy with it just to throw it on for a long trip and take it back off again.. they said it was a PITA to put on tho (full nose mask).

I dont own one so iono.. just my .01

I do not wan't the full mask.. its gross looking. lol! As a Honda enthusiast I "digged" the hood bra considering my 89' prelude had one. It looked pretty cool in my opinion.

OP, with the black bra you'll get tons of dust and tiny pebbles between the bra and the paint (which is not very durable anyway) and while driving, the wind will cause the bra to shutter just slightly. This shudder and movement will cause the debris between the bra and paint to rub. The result will be a scratched up front end... much worse than no bra! It will be like having sandpaper on your hood/front end, scraping the clearcoat and paint every time you drive--- it's a very slow but sure process that will ultimately cause more damage than you can imagine.

Infiniti paint is among the softest I've ever seen. Just look at our front ends and compare to those of miost other cars. Hopefully the newer models have better paint quality.
