OP: You need a light surface polish.
Any of the following should work:
These will have the mechanical action needed to remove the stains. Please keep the solvents for removing the adhesive, and the polish for the paint. Just works better that way.
Any of the following should work:
- Klasse All-In-One
- Meguiar's M205
- Menzerna Final Polish II
- Any other similar type of light surface polish

Looks 10X better without the molding. I just did this last week. Looks like your on step 4 after you heated it up (1) and peeled it off (2) and wiped it off with goo gone (3). Go to auto zone and get a $30 buffer and some polishing compound like the preceding post stated and it will come off in a few minutes. Make sure you wash off the goo gone prior to buffing.

How difficult was it to remove?
How tough was it to remove the side trim?
I have the trim, but the paint is peeling off the trim and looks like azz.
I want to remove it, but am afraid it will screw up the paint and maybe peel it off or chip if I have to pull hard on it.
How did you get it started? Did you pry it off? Any assistance is welcome.
