Hey guys, 2005 g35 coupe.

so my engine light came on, threw a cat code and decided to pull out my downpipes. Definitely melted/clogged and the O2 need to be replaced.

So...i have a muffler shop that can weld in some inlines to my test pipes or the oem downpipes. 120 each side. plus new 02's

He cant guarantee the computer wont keep throwing codes though. Anyone had experience with this? If i spend 240 and the code is still there, is there anyway to bypass it?

thanks

We have a Federal Emissions Warranty by the EPA..

It's either 7 year 70k or 8 year 80k this covers the CATs.. (and few other things, I think ECU too)

But to answer your questions yes it should keep the computer from throwing codes and yes it should allow you to pass smog.

^ +1 I would get HFCs for around 350-500 for the pair or ART pipes for around 550 I think..

guys....need help

So i went to the auto shop Saturday to check the codes again before heading up to the muffler shop. We plugged in the OBDII and i noticed the engine light was gone. The Scanner pulls up no codes. the Engine light is gone..... So i figure probably just reset and needs to go through a few cycles/miles to pop back on. I took it for a ride, approx 50 miles total, turned the car on and off about 5-6 times. Still nothing.

Now its tuesday and i put about 100 miles so far. No codes.

ASSUMING the 02/Cat's are still bad, when should the light kick back on for g35 coupes?
