Lightbulb Who has factory remote start on 03-04 cpe

Just wanted to know how many of you guys have factory remote start on your 03-04 g35 coupes ? My uncles G which is a 04 coupe has it .Nobody ever believes me until i show them . How rare is this ? His works by hitting lock unlock lock on his keyfob or hitting the same sequence on either door . Also has a nissan label saying equipped with OEM remote start under the hood . Iv taken apart his dash to install a few things and didnt see any aftermarket or factory control module for it . He cant be the only one but i have not seen another .

I have remote start on an 04 coupe, it works by clicking the lock button on the keys twice in a row.

hmm very similar . It may be how his works . We just always hit lockunlock lock fast . He had the car for over 6 months without knowing when he hit the sequence by accident and it started . We were like wtf ,its alive . Is yours factory or can you see anything aftermarket ? Does it also work with the lock switches on the doors ?

Also found this thread so possibly 4 so far . Guess its not too rare .

I bought the car used so I assumed it was factory, but I am not certain.

Sometimes it bothers me because I have a habit of clicking the lock button twice to make sure the car locked and the car will start up while I had it parked in gear

The car did not come from the factory with the remote start. Read through the owner's manual, and it doesn't mention it.

It must have been added afterward.
