He is 5AT. It could be possible. I bet KPTech could build it! Really, it would be possible w/6MT with an override. My buddy had remote start on his Integra stick. He left it in first, hit remote start, and the car drove away by itself. :unsafe:

It sounds like an aftermarket unit.

I would open the hood and check for a hood pin. 90% of the time when remote start systems fail it's because the hood pin went bad.

i think its a joke... if an aftermarket system was put in ide think he'd have a seperate remote for it. hitting unlock, lock, un, lock seems like a huge hassle... plus hows he get into his car if he just locked it =/

It is possible. I bought my car from a guy who had it installed from the factory. On my standard Infiniti remote, all i do is hit lock, unlock, lock, the car turns on, and all i have to do is put in the key. Granted, i dont believe it came stock, but he did have it installed from the dealer. No one else has heard of this? Maybe mine is special, and my car is worth 5k more now...

its a safety feature. all factory remotes starts that i know of require this too. its so when you wanna remote start your car from lets say inside the house or office to warm/cool off the car your doors arent open so people can just run in and drive away. although im sure there are other safety precautions as well (such as in my old car, even if the car is started with remote start you cant move unless the key is in the ignition) but yeh..it makes sense to have your car locked before you start your car..

i have an aftermarket one and it requires me to press the lock and unlock together at the same time in order to activate it.. it does have safetey precautions too like if ur key is not in the ignition and u press the brakes, it'll shut off, or if u releaes the hand brake or go into gear w/o the key inside it'll turn off. However, it lets me remote start regardless of whether my door is locked or not. I never knew/dont think there is a remote start for factory option. What's up with these threads lol? First the roll up window now this. I bet the next thread is going to be like "i can open my sunroof by pressing lock unlock lock lock unlock but now it doesnt work anymore!"

You guys................
I am not joking...
and first, after I started the car with key fob, and to drive, I have to bring the key inside and put it on to 'ON'(ignition) like we do usually.
So nobody can drive without key!! this is for just start the engine! not to drive... and once I start the engine with remote, and I did not put the key in to 'ON'(ignition), engine turns off automatically after about 10-15 minutes.
And if I want to turn off after I started engine with the remote, I just press the brake to turn it off!!
And actually I do not know what dealer did to my car, because I bought it from E-bay (that mean it was used!). So, probably dealer did something to my key, when preowner buy this car....
damn... I had to take any flim to prove you guys...
Also I surprised that you guys do not have this function....
