Electrical problem!! doesnt look like its the fuse!

Hello!

So recently when i start up my car, the gauge lights, radio and AC doesnt work.

When i first turn on the car, its fine. After starting the engine, it all goes to hell. Even the mirrors doesnt move. i checked all the fuses under the driver side wheel near the clutch pedal and all fuses seem to be fine. i replaced teh heated mirror and mirror fuses, still no luck.

Is this that issue where i have to replace the whole radio or something like that??? i saw some people that had the same issue but...... no solution... besides the dealer and paying 750 bucks...

I solved this same problem on my '03 coupe last week.

The radio wouldn't work, neither would any of the buttons & the AC would be on constantly.. the only way to turn it off was to have the car off. All I did was disconnect the battery for an hour and still to this day (a week later) it all works perfect.

Did you try the hidden fuse panel behind the battery on the passenger side .You have to completely remove the battery to get to them . The tail fuse there causes those exact things not to work . Maybe its just loose ?

Okay,

So i took off the battery cover and saw the fuse box. it seems to all work.

BUT!!!! i did figure something out...

It all goes to hell onces i turn the engine. So i started tapping the area around the key while the engine is on, and it all came back!!!

happens every time i tap around it.... so its the ignition switch??? Do i have to replace that????

Thats a strange problem . Not sure if its the ignition switch . If the car turns on fine i would guess not but not sure . Btw the fuse box is not the one under the battery cover . You have to remove the battery completly and also remove the window trim to access it . It is mounted to the firewall inside a black cylindrical cover .
