I agree with Kansaijin. The tops of the drivers seat is truly uncomfortable in the shoulders for the well built or those wearing heavy clothing.

The rest of the seat is a joy, but the joke of the shoulder support causes a great deal of fatigue.

I say this only applies to the drivers seat, because the bolstering and such on the passanger seat is different and is much more comfortable for me. Strange.

LOVE: Power to $$$ ratio (quantitative), Speed to $$$ ratio(quantitative), luxury level to $$$ ratio (quantitative). I guess $$$ is key.

HATE: Build quality - too much rattling. I drive in/out of NYC with really bad road conditions. Perhaps the road does contribute to all the rattling or may be I just have very sensitive ears, or Nissan needs to rethink about the way it assemles its cars. Honda/Acura tend to be better in this area.

When I turn off the VDC I am able to smoke the tires through 3rd gear. That sounds like turning off the traction control to me.
Hmm, it is very well possible that I am incorrect. I have not really used the VDC off too much yet. Only when I'm going into a turn hot, and I don't want the car to freak out. However, I haven't just turned it off and really layed into the pedal yet.
I'll have to try that.
I guess I thought that the VDC and TCS were separately controlled (even tough they interact with eachother), due to the way that Infiniti explains it in their marketing.
That's what I get for inferring from the promo material!

They should be separately controlled, but they're not. I forgot to add that to my hate list. You should have the ability to turn traction control off, but keep the stability control on. Like in my Z06, there is a "Competitive Driving" mode that you can select that turns off the traction control, but keeps the stability control on, while changing the program so that it will allow more oversteer before intervening. Its really a nice feature, and IMO a great safety feature when driving the car hard. I know its saved my butt many times.

Also, Infiniti's stability control is too intrusive and sensitive - when it kicks in it really cuts the throttle and individually brakes too much. When running the car hard on a high speed road course, you really notice this and want to turn it off because its so annoying. The Corvette's system is much less intrusive and lends a helping hand to correct your mistakes rather than taking over and shutting you down temporarily. It also less sensitive and allows more fun before kicking in.

I don't believe this, the SL series is very nice and it blows away our cars. I don't believe any normal person will look at a BLACK (best color ) SL 65 and then at the G35coupe and say that the Mercedes "disappears".

Anyway,

Love: Rear taillights. Design of leather seats. Brembos. Exhaust tone (sounds better than my 350Z). 6CD in dash. Gas cap that isn't opened from the inside of the car (not on 350Z either). OEM 18" wheels. No protruding antenna. Not considered a sports car, but instead a coupe.

Hate: It's a beast. Yes, it's too big for my tastes. Seat belt "extenders" in the front that destroy my door. The extra seats in the back. Super long wheelbase. Weight of an M3, but not enough power to support it. No projector headlights. Every middle aged women seems to have one (Southern California).

Love:

Looks, ride, handling, power, headlights, brembos, steering wheel controls!, seats, rims (2004), tailights, spoiler.

Hate (too harsh more like annoying):

Soft paint = Stone chips , no memory in the seats, damn cup holders, the odd weird sound / rattle, Water pooring in on the door panel while driving in the rain!... Should have designed a better water trough on the roof!,

When the sun hits the compass, temp control, outside temp display you can see all the inner workings of it. They could have blacked out the plastic shield to display only the numbers. Looks very cheap IMHO!

Overall I love the car and could not imagine driving anything else!

HATES- all the creaks and rattles....sounds like its falling apart. Although, you don't hear them a bit when you lower the windows (which I love doing to hear the exhaust/engine)

Loves- everything else

My G is less than a week old, but I have noticed a few things and want to know if anyone else has. I drove it from florida to West Virginia and there is a whistle around the window.

Also does the shifting smooth out over time. It seems a little rough.

Otherwise the "G" is the sexiest car on the road.

Love : the power(good enough for me), the looks i get, the exhaust tone, the rumble under the hood at 6800 rpm.

Hate: Stock pilot sports make a lot of road noise, brakes still sqeak after going to the dealership on 2 different occasions, Paint chips, seat gives me a upper leg, lower back pain at times...

but other than that..the positives out do the negatives, i love you G!

1. The look
2. Power (could use a little more maybe 340 or so)
3. Handling
4. Not having to drive the wife's car when we go somewhere
Dislikes:
1. Stock pilot sports make a lot of road noise (I can't wait until they wear and I need new tires)
2. creaks/rattles inside
3. STEREO (The blows system is terrible)
Overall it's a great car I'm glad I made the choice to get one.

Love;
Her power.
The "looks" I still get when I'm driving her.
Her overall design.
The way she looks after a Zaino treatment.
My Satellite Radio (optional)
She's the "Best little pickup truck" when you put her rear seat down.
The way I go to work, and come home from work, without someone trying to make a "statement" with their POS's.
Her handling on turns/curves.

Hate;
Getting in and out of her isn't the easiest thing ever.
Her extemely firm ride.
The way the exhaust sounds at 3K RPM. I like the sound, but I think cops would too when I'm on her hot & heavy.
That damn day/night button on the rearview mirror. I still haven't been able to get used to that at night.
No gripes with "rattles" like others. Just my grease spot on my driver's side window.
How she looks when she's dirty.
Driver's side seatbelt.
When I lose a race to a Toyota Echo. (Just kidding!) I don't think so, Scooter!!!!!

That's about it for me. Mooser.
