What do you hate about your G?

I am researching on a few cars before i buy one and the G is on the top of my list.

It looks sexy, wish it had a wee bit more power, its deff. better than what ever else your looking at as far as the money goes..

 

i wish our doors closed like a luxury car. feels like i'm gonna break my window when i close my door.

other than that, everything is set.

 

Love the looks, ride, stability, power (altho a little more would be nice),
I'd like the Coupe more if the seat, steering, and mirrors had memory.

 

I love the overall balance of the car. Good handling, power, and comfort. The soft paint is a pain though.

 

love -- styling, price, power (great for the price)
hate -- soft paint, no side mirrors that automatically lower when you back-up like in other luxury cars.....but no big deal since i have the clearbra and i can manually lower the side mirrors to aid in parallel parking to avoid getting curb rash

 

Relative to the Coup:

Literally. No JK

1) I hate that I have the Sedan. The coup is so damn sexy.
2) I love that I have the Sedan. The extra room and practicality of the Sedan is a huge help in so many ways.

The Sedan drives awesome but If Nissan could make the Sedan look like the Coup it would be everything I could ever want or need in a 30K car.

 

I don't like the cheap interior or the saggy look of the rear bumper, feels heavy...

the handling is awesome, feels sporty, unique design.

 

pros: everything

cons: clunky transmission (taking it in)

fears of oil consumption

 

Loving : best style, aggressive looks than 350Z, too sexy, grabs more attention than Bimmer , 6 cd changer, exhaust tone, power

hate: seats, notchy shifting, soft paint, front n back side speakers (are not Bose's speakers i believe), trunk space too small

needs to improve: light signal on side mirrors, manual trabsmission, corner lights should be use for turning signal, memory seats

 

There are defintely think the coupe should have more features, but if you think about it, that is quite minor and some people don't care less!

Pros: A "Hoot to drive", great handling and balance, great brakes (no Brembos on '05), great looking car, lot's of reasonably priced mods, good warranty, not considered a "sports car" for insurance purposes, great seats, more power is always better but good overall!

Cons: no lighted steering wheel buttons (on '05), no telescopic steering wheel (on '05), no rain sensing wipers, no memory seats/mirrors, no projection headlights , less interior rattles

 

Love: looks (best looking car on the road in my book), my Caribbean Blue Coupe gets more attention and compliments than some really expensive cars like a Mercedes SL65 AMG which cost $180,000 that I park by in the company parking lot, great looking OEM 18" wheels, Brembos, availability of mods, smooth ride, plenty fast, eats up the Interstate and back roads, great seats, comfortable (makes long trips go by in a breeze), pop-up Nav, stereo & A/C controls NOT in the Nav (makes upgrading stereo easier), excellent exhaust note, full complement of safety features, car feels substantial and not flimsy, sweet headlights with lighted "clearance" light strip, sunroof (not available on 350Z), good value, good warranty, chicks love it (great looks and they like the comfort), etc.

Small nitpicks (not "hates"): worry that it will be struck with the excessive oil consumption problem a small percentage of owners have, soft paint (clear bra a MUST), the top of my size 12 shoe sometimes gets kind of "caught" while clutching on the bottom part of the dash above the clutch, steering wheel controls should be lighted (I understand this was fixed for '05), very hard to check the oil (the dipstick has more bends than any other one I've ever seen), sometimes gets TOO much attention from jealous haters (worry about car getting keyed), position of AUTO and ON for the headlight switch should be reversed, should have memory seats, should have aluminum pedals from factory (fixed for '05)

I like the overall balance of the car, looks, and performance.



2) What do you hate about your G?

Rear toe/camber too sensitive to changes in ride height.

likes-
1. exterior shape and tail- esp tail lights and overall body shape.
2. balance of luxury and performance
3. interior design (theme is really good imo, just needs different materials and slight fixes... i feel that the 05 is improved but not in the right ways..)
4. having the only one on the island and everything positive that comes with it
5. overall refinement
6. comfortable seats
7. its black and looks good when clean.. and i clean it often and have fun doing so.

dislikes-
1. back bumper gets dirty quick (nitpicking)
2. interior materials (plastic should have been changed to metal.. i dont like the 05 center lcd design though..i guess on the whole its improved though, my gf acknowledges the improvements although she says theyre about the same)
3. having the only one on the island and everything negative that comes with it
4. issues that infiniti will not issue TSBs on (clicking axles, head unit, sunroof noises,...)
5. non-reclining seats (fixed on 05)
6. overall bose stereo
7. slightly more performance/feeling to give an edge on all the 250+hp family cars out there (addressed on 05)
8. its black, and gets dirty quickly here due to dirty water on the road and the sun shining hard after it rains.

having said all of that, likes >>> dislikes... so much so that i wouldnt sell my car if i were offered what i paid for it (and i could get that)
