Why not a 350Z?
overall styling
4 seats
actual trunk
more comfortable & luxurious
better visability
higher level of dealer service (loaners, etc)
I seriously considered the buying 350Z touring model, but I just couldn't get by the cheapness of the interior materials, the lack of storage space, and the terrible visibility out of the sides and back. The back seats in the G also played a factor in my decision.

Well, looks, luxury, and backseat were the primary reasons I bought the G. I didn't compare it with a Z because I needed backseats. I cross shopped the G with an RX-8.
For me personally, one reason put the G35 coupe over the top. That is the fact that it's a Skyline. I always wanted to own a Skyline (OK, so I dream of the GT-R version), and getting the G kind of fulfills that dream a little bit. Besides, it's an awesome car that I love more today than the day I got it.
