Talking OEM 19s Loving it !!!

Just got it installed yesterday...

Will drop the G next week and adding spacers + Camber kit

Have it settle then get an alignment with lifetime warranty...so atleast every 3months go back to the shop have an alignment done again at no charge...

excited on how it will look like...

I like the car to be clean and simple..

comments will be appreciated !!

I have OEM 18" sport wheels on my 6mt and really would have love to have 19" OEM rays FORGED stock. Rims look very clean and in good condition overall, just need to drop and have a flush fit.

Just wait till you have to buy tires again. I refuse to buy cheapies (I never had luck with them) and it's usually 1K once it's all said and done. I think tires for 20s would be cheaper.

Cheaper, that's possible but with 20" tires/wheels your ride quality is diminished the life of the tires is also shorter and you stand a very good chance of losing a rim if you hit a pothole! So what are the advantages? Nath, I still think your coupe would look better with your grille painted body color....

Just curious, what springs/camber kit/spacer size did you end up going with?

simple technique: after work and after pulling in our driveway, I take out my towel get a bucket of water and then wipe the car....no need for soap or anything else just a wet chamoise ( dunno is spelled right ) just do one panel at a time... gets the car clean everytime... I do it every 2-3 days... 15mins of your time... lol

If you are up to spec or close to spec your tires should last longer....

Eibach sportlines for the G ( the red ones ) + 20mm spacers all around and ichiba rear camber kit... just going simple...and it is a DD car so I think this would be the best ride quality with a little bit of drop...

- Ride quality isnt "diminished" with 20's. Sure, it's less than 19's, but the same could be said about going from 18's to 19's.

- Why would the tire life be shorter?

- Don't buy a super cheap knockoff wheel and you won't have to worry about pot holes damaging them. I sure don't worry with my WORK wheels.

- Advantage of cheaper tires

- Advantage of looks (although this is subjective)

OP, car looks great, cant go wrong with the OEM 19's. BTW, I'm selling 1 or 2 pairs of 25mm spacers if youre interested and live in SoCal.

I take that ride quality on 20's would be a bit harder when you hit potholes or bumps beacuse of less air/tires absorbing the pressure of the bump....

I think tire life is subjective: it all depends on how fast you drive, your load, your milag, road conditions, if you have a bad toe or negative camber... etc.. etc...

On cheaper tires...you get what you pay for...

PM me the price of the Spacers..pls...

Thanks !

Nath

Correct. For those reasons, the ride will be a bit harsher with 20's. The difference of going from OEM 19's to my 20's was noticeable but barely significant. Certainly not enough to go back to 19's.

I agree, and that applies to any tire, regardless if it 19" or 20".

Well you have the option of buying high quality tires, but 19's will cost more simply because theyre more common.

Please don't take my posts as an attack on 19's, I've got nothing against them.

PMing now .
