Are we supposed to remove the sticker that says "6 disc CD changer" on the stereo? If so, how without scratching the plastic under it?

 

Just pick at a corner of it lightly with your nail. It lifts off easy. I just did mine.

Don't feel like a dummy...there's a few of these Infiniti protective clear coverings on our cars. Don't forget to take off the clear covers on the chrome infiniti door sill plates...and also under the front bumper is a rubber strip on the coupe and sedan which have clear plastic sheet covers as well. Unless Infiniti has some other spots with surprises these are the only ones I've found.

I think we leave the clear film in front of the rear wheels as a stone and chip guard, right???

 

Keep the plastic on for protection.

Don't mess with the plastic overlays bonded to the paint in front of the rear wheels...thats intended to be permanent.

 

This topic is hilarious! Come on now..the clear plastic in front of the rear tires is of course been put their for protection and to be permanent. Why would anyone even think of removing that as did the individual above? The only plastic protection that I am yet to remove is below the engine under the front bumper.ONE OTHER THING..I NOTICED THAT ON EACH AND EVERY CHROME 18" RIM THERE IS THIS SMALL CIRCLE BASED PATCH OF WHITE PAINT OR SOMETHING.GUYS CHECK YOUR VEHICLES AND SEE WHETHER YOU HAVE THIS. I FIND IT QUITE STRANGE AND APPARENTLY IT CAN EASILY BE REMOVED WITH THE USE OF YOUR FINGER NAIL. BUT WHY THE HECK IS THIS THERE? COULD IT BE SOME TEST THAT THEY RUN?

of course! what are you thinking? you might as well take the car apart while you're at it? lol. thats permanent..its clearly obvious that INFINITI has manufactured and added that feature for protection and to be permanent!enjoy the car!

It's there to align the tire. The tire make puts an indicator on the heavy (or light, I can't remember) side of the tire and the rim maker does the same (paint dot) with the rim. This allows them to align the tire and rim such that they require the minimum amount of balancing.

haha that white dot is for balancing purposes, it marks the lightest part of the rim and thus the tire-shop is supposed to mount the heaviest part of the tire lined up with that dot so that you would have to minimize balancing weights (not a big deal anyway)

As for the little white stickers on the wheels I think they are supposed to line up with red marks on the tires. This is to tell you and them if your tires are rotating on the wheels. If they are then the wheels or tire seal is defective.
