lilvi3tboyzz . He posted in the marketplace that he had 06 headlights with matte black housing and would like to trade for OEM 06 headlights. He said he would have to recieve shipment first as his car is his daily driver. Our agreement was when he recieved mine he would swap them and send me his. Well, He has had my headlight for two weeks now and refuses to answer my calls/texts. You may find this dumb on my part but I'm sure anyone could have fell victim of this. What are yall's opinions on what I should do?

 

I would contact a mod and see what your options are. Not sure if your allowed to actually post his name like that..

 

I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to post the name out in open if someone is holding your parts and ignores the phone/txt. If that person really did take the parts and not responding, I would want to know about it, being a part of this community.

I don't blame you. I would post his name all over the place if that happened to me! Good luck man and hopefully he will come through with the deal.

 

You could post his name/address too, if any members live in his area we could knock on his door and find out why he hasn't complied with your agreement. Nothing wrong with posting his handle here, might keep another member from falling for his dishonest b.s.!

+1 on this, but contact a MOD first and see what they can do...if still nothing then post away all the info that you have...post the PM's, numbers address, name or whatever info you have...

If you have his email address, post it here some members might chip in getting his I.P. address and atleast get his location..

Post as much stuff about him as you can. We have some crafty members that can find out where these kinds of losers live. It has helped people that have gotten screwed over in the past.

I hate scammers, but there might be a good reason he hasn't gotten back to you. Can't think of one though.

 

Sorry dude about your issue...was wondering if he answered that cell before you shipped? If so, was it a burner phone (throwaway)? If it was, he probably got you...if not there might be a way to do a reverse look up and find out who's the owner of the phone. I doubt if can, but if you can convince somebody this guy got you...maybe... G/L, just be thankful it wasn't more...

 

gwood, you obviously sent those headlights to an addess with this scammers name/address on it go ahead and post that information. I'd love to knock on some thiefs door asking why he hasn't complied with your agreement or collect your headlights. You must be pissed sitting around with a G without headlights....

Guys I appreciate all of you! I typed in his address on white pages and called his house. Spoke with a family member. Needless to say my headlights will be returned. Its cool that all of y'all reacted the same way I did haha great community we have here.

He's a local member here in Houston, not associated with my Team though.

I haven't seen him around lately, but last I saw, he was now selling his car as is. I'm sorry, but I don't know any more information other then that.

I do know someone who is friends with him, so I'll try to contact him and see what is up with him.
