Is camber kit needed?
I'm looking to lower my 2003 G35 with tein lowering springs, which is like a inch drop, I was told that i need to buy a camber kit also. Can i just install the springs get a alignment and im good to go?
nobody NEEDS a camber kit..its really up to you..if you want to get back into spec then chances are yes you will need one..if you dont mind getting less life out of your tires than no you dont..some people get away with an alignment and then again some guys end up needing a front camber kit more than rear...get the springs you want..install..ride around on them for a few weeks then go to an alignment shop and see how out of spec you are..then make decision. =] good luck!
I'm on z H techs and am close enough to spec that I'm not worried about it. You will be slightly more out of spec than me but it may not be bad enough to need a camber kit. Like the other poster said, go to the shop and have them print you out the specs and see if it's necessary for your situation

Yea as long as you can get toe in spec it is okay. Normally i would reccomend to get a rear camber kit with toe bolts because it is still cheap.

Coilovers. Most people will recommend coilovers because the adjustability is nice. New shocks and springs will run you close to what coilovers are going to cost you. For a little bit more you can have full adjustabilty.
I donthave the budget for coilovers, i just want lowering springs to get rid of that gap between my tire and fender.
I'd still get the camber kit if you plan on lowering your car an inch or more. At least the rear with the toe bolts.
Do a search and there's a bunch of threads about this. I've had some springs sitting in the corner of my room for around a month or so now. Saving up for that camber kit. Better to be safe than sorry because new tires aren't pocket change...

to "serges" if you go with a rear camber kit definitely go with the one from SPC that comes with the toe bolts..
and to "Katastrophiik" i cant recommend any springs cause i havnt had any on my coupe..i just bought MDU coilovers on ebay for $520 shipped and springs will run you $200-$250 give or take a few dollars..many guys here are on tein s techs or h techs either for g35 or 350z or the eibach prokit..if you just want to close gap a bit id go with the tein s techs or eibach prokit..you'l still have some gap but definitely not a big amount...the s techs will give you a 1 inch drop..if you want more..tanabe df210 are a 1.7 drop or the eibach sportlines also give like a 1.6 drop
