Driving Test Tmw! Need All Advice!
I failed twice already. First time for not head checking, second time.. pretty much same thing, both on the parallel parking.
How can I be sure to get the car no more than a foot from the kerb.
ALL advice is appreciated, thanks!

For parallel parking, I think you are supposed to cut the wheel to the right when the B-pillar of the car lines up with the rear bumper of the car that will be in front of you when you are done parking (the car you start next to). From then, it's just about easing back towards the curb and cutting the wheel to the left when you think your right rear wheel is close to the curb. Good luck though.
OP - the only way to get good at PP is to practice in the car you'll have at the test.
Empty parking lot. Set up makeshift cones (boxes, whatever) and practice.
You could/should even make the dimensions of your practice area smaller than reality so you're really on point before you go test again.
This is why I fear for my life every time I drive amongst anyone else on the road....
Advice? Last time I checked, the way to pass a road test is to PAY ATTENTION IN DRIVERS ED AND PRACTICE...

LOL - I've been licensed in six states and we always had to parallel park. Who knew?

What is head checking in parallel parking? Do you try to park without turning around? Do you not check back for oncoming traffic while parking? But in any case, just practice it with the checking until it becomes second nature.
idk I never had issues with parallel parking, on my test my tester asked me if I just sat and practiced it for hours a day because it was so natural to me & I just said no lol I know where my bumper is & where the curb is & I just park haha

In MD when I took the drivers test. You were allowed to tap the curb but not drive up on it lol. Thats a easy indication on how you could check how close you are to the curb :0. It's been a while since I took the test but you should probably ask them. They should give you a strait answer and not mess with ya. GL
