ive said it before in the motorsports section, I really like the stock 6mt rotors. Even tracking the car in 100 degree weather doing repeated hard braking for 20 minute sessions they held up. They turned a rainbow glazed color at max temp but cooled down with no defects. I feel Nissan spends more money on Research and Development and testing than aftermarket companies. my 2 cents. Dont get me wrong there are a lot of excellent racing products out there, stick to ones that have been tried and tested...

This....^....is good to hear! May I suggest that when you're mounting your wheels you do so with a torque wrench set at 85. Using an impact wrench will cause warping, that along with poor quality rotors! Normally when you have warped rotors you feel it in your steering wheel not the brake pedal. That leads me to believe it may not be your rotors but wheel bearings.... Locate a brake/alignment shop in your area and have them check out your suspension....not Infiniti!

^ This.

Plus, most of these companies buy brembo blanks and cross drill the rotors themselves.

Then slap their name on it and charge up the butt to make up for the money they spent on the machinery.

I've seen this before.....most times it's because the driver tracked the car and/or went hard on the brakes to the point where they overheated then pressed down on the pads. This causes the pads to create imprints in the already heated rotors

moral of the story, get new rotors

I daily drive my sedan, no tracking or hard braking or riding of my brakes and my Stoptechs are doing the exact same thing at only 5 months old. I bought the complete stoptech stage 2 kit from CZP. I was just about to call CZP and see what they said but after finding this ill wait and see where it goes. There is no way its user fault with so many ppl having the same problem within the same time frame

So I spoke to some people at Stoptech. They looked at the above picture and immediately knew it wasn't:

warped
result of over torque'd lugnuts
over heated

They feel something caused the pads to transfer an imprint onto the rotor. It has done this on a few areas, both inside and out and since the car doesn't sit for long periods of time it's confusing.
So in order for them to find out they sent me replacement pads and rotors and I am shipping back these. The one thing that will be different during the new install is I will be using warm water and dish washing liquid to clean them instead of brake cleaner. I used the proper "bed in" procedure before, but they have it documented on their website if anyone wants to read it.

We'll see how it goes.

If you use the brakes hard then stop/shut off the car, pad material will transfer to the rotor creating a 'high' spot. When I track a car I slow down on the cooloff lap without using the brakes until I pull into the garage. I then roll the car back and forth for a couple of minutes while talking to my crew/girlfriend.
