My coupe got T-boned

I was letting a friend drive my G in a parking lot and some idiot was cutting through the lot. We were travelling down an isle and there were about 6 cars parked together in a group, all in spots. Well, the idiot was cutting through right next to them and he didn't bother to stop to check for cars coming down the isle. He plowed in to my G at about 20 mph. Everyone is OK, but my G isn't. I'm going to take some pictures tomorrow and I'll post them then. The passenger door is damaged, the rear quarter panel is damaged, my rear wheel was scratched really bad and may be shifted in a bit, my seat and curtain airbags on the passenger side deployed, and my inner door jamb has a nasty crease in it.

Just by looking at it I'm assuming the damage will be in excess of $15K

And I was so close to getting my tt......

Bro,

As i said before... i feel for you man. Sorry this had to happen to you.
Hopefully i won't ever have to go through anything like what you did.

Have a reputable place take care of it.
Maybe indeed they will consider a loss due to the parts and labor.
But even still, they do miracles at shops these days.

Either way, it'll be taken care of. Just a major pain in the ****.

Chin up and we're here for you bro.

Dru

WTF? Are you guys ok? Is there any chance that the insurance company would total out this car so that you could buy a brand new one?

Send me a PM once you've had a chance to absorb all that has happened. Hopefully you will not let this discourage your BIG PLANS for the future. I'm anxious for you to get that TT up and running.

It seems as if the G35 "powers that be" do not want ANYONE to run a good FI set up on this car. What gives?

I hate parking lots! To me it's the most dangerous place drive.

Glad to hear you're okay.

Good luck,

That's rough to look at.
Let's just hope there isn't major frame damage if the do decide that it's not a total loss. Take is easy bro.

The airbags are amazing. They are very loud when they deploy but they are there instantaniously. They definately saved me from hitting the glass and the door. I did not have my seat belt on so I bounced a little. I guess this shows that even in parking lots late at night you still need a seat belt!
