You will definitely notice the loud in cabin noise but IMO and in most other's opinion, it sounds better than the HKS. Again, the biggest con is that it is quite loud. Also, the burnt tips look like trash and rust. I bought some burnt titanium tips from ebay but Motordyne is best quality for a few more bucks. Link here

Pros: looks great (after getting some quality tips) and sounds good. I get compliments constantly.

Keep in mind "You get what you pay for!" That rule has never let anyone down that I know of. You want a great sound/exhaust save your $$ and buy a MotorDyne system. You won't ever be sorry and you won't be wasting you cash on cheap copy junk!

How much are you getting the used Xo2? Have you heard it before? I have same m2 exhaust (same as x02 under a different name), as Charles said its very loud in the cabin, some people get annoyed by it and add a X pipe, but some leave it as it is. I didn't mind the noise and just left it as it is; I actually enjoyed hearing it

Pros: You get a fairly good exhaust (though a replica) at a lower price then in comparison to other brand name exhausts out there. It sounds really nice, and I've gotten compliments from several people. For me when I swapped out my OEM exhaust and put the m2(xo2) on, I felt gains over stock.

Cons: As Charles said, the tips are disgusting. The shine and color of the tips change very fast. Mines were shinny the first couple of weeks, and now the tips look dull and the shine is gone. However, this is all just cosmetic stuff that doesn't effect the overall functionality of the exhaust. The fitment of the exhaust also is a problem. The exhaust wasn't straight when I installed it and it burnt the right side of my rear bumper until I had it fixed.

Overall: Good exhaust for the price. Depending on how much your getting for a used one, a new one costs roughly around 350-400 in the market place I think. Definitely give the x02 a consider if your looking to save some cash for other mods like I did. Good luck

Save $$$ and get some real exhausts. You'll regret it. I went through one and was unsatisfied with both the sound and quality. My xo2's rusted and sounded like garbage to be honest. Just my 2 cent.

My xo2 is totally fine. Fitment was horrible on the passenger side tip, but I took it to a shop and they lined up the whole exhaust for me for $45. In-cabin sounds ricey, but outside it sounds extremely deep with that feint warble of the VQ. I've had the exhaust for roughly 6 months and my tips look totally fine. Overall it's a great bang for the buck, sounds great (to people outside), and you can scrape it all day with no worry in the world.

An X-pipe will quiet down the system? How much does a reasonable one cost?

The xpipe is around $85 on amazon. Go with the magnaflow one. Totally worth it in my opinion. You'll spend about 60-80 on welding though.

the x pipe will help

the tips that it comes with are just stainless steel and will look green and ugly later. go and buy top speed pro1 exhaust tips ( real titanium for about 100) and you should be good to go or go hks tips for (150-200).

but you do get what you pay for, i've been through alot of the exhaust made for the G and money makes a big difference on the quality of the exhaust

I dont have it, but have done a little research and found that in general its a great buy. Saves you a TON of money from buying the legit HKS. Only thing I read was the tips seemed to get rusted but thats it.

the motordyne piece is super nice, but way too expensive... i dont know about performance, but sound wise, the Invidia Gemini does a great job of retaining the VQ growl and sounds very nice. i believe it runs right around the $800 mark

Alot of good info in this thread!

As stated by other you get what you pay for. Doesn't necessarily mean a xo2 wont be good. Might not be the best quality but doesn't seem bad at all! I say if your saving up for other mods than go ahead and get it

The Magnaflow X-Pipe is not resonated, it just combines the pulses from each bank. The X-Pipe is way better than the H pipe that comes with most systems. The only reason I have one is because of the restriction we found in the authentic HKS exhaust systems. Cost to install correctly is $100 using slip joints.

Every once in a while it's smart to save your $$ and buy quality parts like MotorDynes exhaust, the sound and HP gains are worth the cost.
