removing plastidip

Whats the easiest way to remove plastidip? I did my grill with it 6 months ago, and now I decided im gonna paint it right cause I want the glossy look, but its such a bitch to remove it. I added another layer of plastidip 2 months ago so now its like 2 layers so thats probably why. is there any material that straight up removes it easy?

just paint gloss black over the plasti dip..i did three months ago still holding strong..

Heres how it looks now:

I havent touched the lower grills. And Idk how ima peel off the end of it/under. I have the primer, paint and clear coat. You guys think it'd be ok to just start primer right now on top of it all?

Im trying, and its peeling off like 1mm at a time. Cause its 2 layers. Ive done it before on my sidemarkers and it peeled off easy, but this is different.

thats unfortunate.. I think i would get that peeled off before started painting. g/l

Easiest way is to make enough coats to peel it off easier. Also goo gone and WD40 work wonders

Alright just tried wd-40. worked pretty well.

took off most of it. now its just a couple of black smudges here and there.

How do u guys propose i go doing the next grills. Straight up wd-40 or peel off as much as I can and then wd-40 it.

And i appreciate the help everyone

If you use any of the mentioned products, youre going to have to clean it real well before you decide to spray anything on there otherwise youre gonna have bubbles, runs, and flakes.

I suggest like 3 or 4 coats of plastidip it will be so much easier to remove at a later date. Then anything else just remove it with the WD40

Yea once I get it all off ima clean it and wash it REAL well and let it dry overnight and paint it tomorrow.

I have plenty of coats on it. Thats the thing. I painted it 6 months ago, and added more coats like 2 months ago. Its thick enough, but when I peel it, it peels in layers (cause i did it twice). It doesnt come out thicker, it comes out in layers. U know what im saying?
