04 G 35 traction control puzzle- need help!!!
My 04 G 35 6MT has 68.000 miles and the car has been outstanding since day one. However, I had a rear flat tire in April that was not repairable and had to put a new one. I wanted to change the other one as well but the dealership advised not to. Just 2 weeks ago the Infiniti dealer in Glendale advised me to change that older tire since the thread level was at 2. Ever since I did, I am having serious control issues. For example, when making turns on the freeway above 55 mph, the slip light comes on and cuts the throttle. I am using Michelin Pilot Sport A/S for all four tires. Obviously the problem is with the real tires and the dealer wants me to change the tire I did replace in April. That tire has a thread level of 8 versus the brand new one at 10. Is that really enough to cause all these issues? I almost spent $1000 on just rears due to these unnecessary changes and need your advice before I throw away a two month old tire only because the dealer says so.
I went to Firestone and they advised to reset the traction control but the Infiniti dealer states that could not be done on this car.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
