Is this a good deal?

Hey, can you guys tell me if this is a good deal/legit or not?

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...E&cardist=2553

It's a 2004 Carribean Blue/Graphite coupe 6-spd with prem/navi/aero. With only 5300 miles, they are asking for less then 32k. The pp blue book is 36k and the retail blue book is 38.5k This seems like a really good deal, but can anyone tell me why it's so cheap?

Ya, i really want a Carribean Blue/Graphite coupe, it's been my favorite color combo, but it's outta production for 05 so I gotta grab mine fast :] And also, i don't want a 03, I want a 04. I searched the entire us with autotrader and only 2 came up in my criteria, and this was one of them.

thanks for your help guys!

What about a new '04 coupe? I'm sure there are still some out there on the lots. Make sure to get a great discount.

Otherwise, the car you linked looks good. KBB values are high right now (says my car is $38.5k retail, that's more than I paid new). If you go to Edmunds you can get a Total Market Value, which might be more accurate. Edmunds says CB gives it some negative value, so use that in your favor. Tell the seller that you're not too into the color and maybe you can get it lower.

But you better check to see if Saturn replaced the body panels w/ plastic

I was considering that very car when I was researching my purchase in early November. The Saturn dealer said the original owner of the G got a job in Manhattan and couldn't bear to drive such a sweet car into Manhattan every day, so he traded it in on a Saturn with the plastic doors that won't get dented up. He said it has a clear bra too. The Saturn dealer wanted $32,900 for it in early November, but back then it had less than 4,000 miles on it. Now it's over 5K miles. It is fully loaded with Nav.

I wound up buying a new CB 6MT Coupe from a dealer just north of Baltimore. I flew up there and drove it back to FL. It has a willow interior which is much better than graphite here in FL.

There are very few new CB 6MT's left at dealers in the US. There was one with a graphite interior at Infiniti of Nashua, New Hampshire but it didn't have Nav and the dealer wouldn't come down on the price and I got mine with Nav for less from Baltimore. There's a few in California and that's about it as far as new CB 6MT's go.

I think the used one from the Saturn dealer would be just fine if you can get them to come down on the price some. I didn't get it since I decided I needed the willow interior down here in FL (stays much cooler).

Good luck- CB rules.

I'd like to add the reason it's so cheap is that the guy traded it in for a much less expensive vehicle, so the dealer is still making out like a bandit.

I paid 27k for mine...

That seems a bit high to me... I bought an 03 DG 6MT with 5,053 miles on it a couple of months back for 27k. Only thing it didn't have was nav. Had the premium package on it though. The one you are looking at is an 04... but otherwise very comparable and about 5k more. Nav adds some to the price, but since I didn't want nav I wouldn't have wanted to pay any more for it. Personally I think that is a bit high, but if you are dead set on a CB one you might not have much choice...

Some additional information when I was looking. That car showed up on Autotrader around October 4th and was originally listed at $33,900. I also consider most of the "books" out there that the public can access to be worthless which you can see from your retail blue book of $38.5K. New MSRP of that car is $38.5K. The used market will probably only bear $30K - $31K for that car.
