Engine coolant - which type to buy?

are you just adding coolant or doing a full exchange? if its just refilling it, just get some prestone coolant, i think its green in color and it will work, if you're not extremely low just put some distilled water in there if you're not in near freezing temps.
but yes, when buying coolant silicate free seems to be the most important thing for our cars. oh yea, no dex cool either.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just refilling the reservoir, not changing out the entire fluid. I just had the radiator flushed from the dealer recently, but the coolant level is near the minimum.
I could go back and hassle them to fill it up, but I figure I should have my own bottle of coolant anyways. I'll look for a silicate free Prestone solution at a local auto store.
