I am considering the Injen CAI, and have concerns about the location of the filter. Looked at a post that came in yesterday with pictures, and there sits the filter in the open grill near the road. I understand how to install it and maintain it, no problem. I am concerned about water though. (not hydrolock) If I am driving down the interstate and it is pouring down rain, and there are semi trucks, and a hundred other cars stirring up the water and rain, what is going to happen with the filter having water pounding on it for (say 2 or 3 hours)(could be!). Should I put a shield in front of the filter painted flat black? Would this look like doo? I do not want any restriction about driving in inclimate weather. Does someone else make a great CAI )aside from Stillen)(another story to come on this) With the filter being so low, how will heat from the road affect performance, vs. being up higher.
