Alarm Issue (Vid inside)

Can anyone help me with this issue? I hope this video can help you guys understand what I'm talking about. It seems like nothing will set the alarm off. Like opening the doors, hood, trunk.

Ps. Yes my car is super dirty I just came back from Vegas lol..

Try this: lock your car, walk away like 20 feet, set your key down, walk back to the car, then try opening the door. (Hint: there's a chip in the primary key so when you're close to your car, the alarm is disabled)

Also, why do you think the alarm would go off by using the trunk button on the fob to open the trunk? It would be silly if that happened.

Ill try by leaving my key away from the car but I don't have the smart key so I don't think that would make a difference.

And the reason that I would think that popping is because the car is locked while I'm pressing the button and with my other car a 01 20th anniversary maxima when the car is locked and the trunk gets opened even with the keyfob the alarm sounds.

The key has a chip in it. If you look at it from the bottom, you'll see a little square. That's where it is. There's one in every primary key.

The smart key is completely different in that the fob has a transponder that allows the car to be unlocked and started without the use of an actual key. A small key (specific to the car) is actually inserted into the fob which is what makes it work.

There's probably something wrong with your Nissan's key fob then because it's completely ridiculous to have a trunk release button on a key fob but in order to use it, you have to set the alarm off.

I don't think anything is wrong with my Nissan. If the trunk opens when the car isn't unlocked the alarm sounds. I don't understand why my G doesn't sound the alarm at all

I told you what is going on and how it works.

If you refuse to believe it, that's on you.

I also had an 01 Maxima before my G and my alarm never went off when I unlocked it with my key fob- that would just be ridiculous. xdEnbOyx is completely right about your G. Put your window down, lock your car, walk away about 20 ft, leave your keys, and go unlock your car through the window. Your alarm should definitely go off.

Yeah see that's the one that mostly makes me think that something is wrong. Assuming someone would open the car like that nothing would happen.

Wow dude, are you kidding me?

Have you even tried my suggestion? You're sitting here wondering why your alarm "doesn't work" and there is advice being thrown your way, yet you refuse to believe it and continue to wonder what's going on?

Lol.

I thought that square was the transponder for the start function. The transponder should only be active when it's near the ignition. That's why remote starts have a bypass where you hide one of your keys in the bypass module and that acts as the transponder so your car can start.
