Alarm Issue (Vid inside)
#16
I thought that square was the transponder for the start function. The transponder should only be active when it's near the ignition. That's why remote starts have a bypass where you hide one of your keys in the bypass module and that acts as the transponder so your car can start.
However I think proximity has something to do with how the alarm activates and I assume the chip is what allows that to happen. I'm not certain, which is why I'm telling the guy to try and see what happens. That way he can come back and either confirm or there's another problem. It seems to work for me so IDk.
It could also be a time delay. Try waiting like half a minute then unlock the door.

Can anyone help me with this issue? I hope this video can help you guys understand what I'm talking about. It seems like nothing will set the alarm off. Like opening the doors, hood, trunk.

Probably put in place so that if the alarm fob was dead, you can still drive and get into the car.

i might know the solution... when you lock the car it takes about 30 seconds delay to activate the alarm.. there should be a red LED light in your car.. when you lock it it will be solid red for like 30 seconds.. when it starts to blink that means the alarm is activated.. try this and tell me the result
