Woa woa enough with the name calling! Still no proof of anything. It's all just hearsay I guess. Or maybe you just listen to what everyone else tells you? If that's the case, give me $100 now! I'll pm you my paypal haha. Ok I'm done.

actually if u check out the oilguy site he did tests showing that paper filters filtered out the best wil k&n was somewhere on the bottom. but im guess with more air flow u sacrifice some filtering

For what it's worth, Amsoil also makes a replacement filter. Don't know if it's any good.

The Amsoil EA Nanofiber air filter are good. I have them in both my G35 and my Tacoma. Works great and doesn't let a lot of dirt by. I ran a stock filter in my car for the first 10K miles, then switched to K&N. After switching to K&N, I noticed there was always a film of dust on the inside(clean side) of my intake pipe that goes to the upper plenum and my oil seemed to be getting noticeably darker in significantly less time after oil changes than it used to. This was evidence enough for me that the K&N filter was not doing a good enough job at filtering out particles from the intake air... so I switched to the Amsoil filter. I have not had any noticeable dirt show up on the clean side of the intake tract since then.

You won't really notice much of a difference in power from switching to an aftermarket replacement drop-in air filter on a car... it's more or less about filtration quality and re-usability of the filter media in the aftermarket filter.
