somethin broken behind front wheel [pic]

hi guys. i went under to change my oil yesterday and i noticed some rubber boot broken right behind the front passenger wheel and attached to the lower control arm, a whole lot of grease was all out....

i just replaced the lower control arm around 6 months ago too...

does anyone know an estimate of how much this rubbery part cost and labor to change it? thank you

Thats the lower ball joint and yes it will wear quite a bit faster as the grease is forced out.

It is in item 1, but it's part of the transverse link - item 9. I heard that on the 03s it is replaceable with an ebay item. No links, sorry.

Most likely damage during your last repair. Pretty hard for debris to the knock the backside when moving forward.

You can maybe find a used one in the marketplace? Try ebay and the forum sponsors who are dealers, too. Probably about 200 new.

Talk to the member Speck. He's doing a partout and he has a coupe and a sedan. Try junkyards too, but you will have to pull the part.
