GTR or G35?

Tails that is

I'm torn, I kinda like the stock look now that it's on

but I LOVED the GTR overlays I used to have...If I go this way again, I'll just paint em properly

The GTR tails look cheap to me. The stock tails are nice to begin with anyway (or the JDM tails).

I hope the voting will get you an idea of what you should do. I would leave it stock and let it give a nice contrast to the obsidian black body. This is the first thing that popped in my head when you asked your question (SEE PIC). Save the time, money, labor, effort and leave it stock. Instead spend that money on your lady and take her out to eat and realize when you sell the car it is easier to sell OEM tail lights then ricer (flame suit on) painted lights.

Definitely stock. If you must do something, just lightly tint the entire thing.

I've had the overlays vs stock dilemma for months. I see some nice overlays, then I look @ my bright red stock ones and think they look great already and any other modification and it'll be a downgrade lol

i prefer your stock look. if anything, I'd say do the dual rings in the tail lights.

Imo the only two colors that look good w/ GTR tail lights are IP and OB. so i would go GTR all the way but do it right this time and spray paint it. I had my buddy do it for me, its a bit of a labor but the end results came out really clean

Overlay is uglyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. The shape of the taillights are one of THE defining features of the G35... The overlay pretty much negates that.
