Trunk swap

I found someone willing to trade trunk lids with me. I opened it up and took a quick look at what to expect. The shocks dont seem to be a problem im mostly concerned with the actually brackets that hold the trunk to the car. There didnt seem to be any obvious spot to detach them and was wondering what would be the best way to go about this. Also i currently have a spoiler and am trading for a non-spoiler, am i going to run into a problem with the wiring for the brake light?

I am curious about this as well. As I am also planning a swap for non-spoiler.

Theres 4 of those star bolts or "Secutiry" key bolts that hold the lid to the brackets. Look again, I believe that is all that is required, and of course disconnecting the brake light.

Correct, just a Torx head bolt. If you're trading trunks though, unless you have a 3rd brake light on the rear deck, you might want to trade rear decks at some point too, but that is a LOT more work. If you don't need a 3rd brake light, then it's the 4 torx bolts and unplug the wires.

I traded my spoiler trunk for and no spoiler.
The Torx screws are really soft and will break on you easily. The screwdriver will destroy the groves and u will end up with a smooth circle and nothing for the screwdriver to attach to. Be prepared to cut. I had to dremel a grove in couple of mine and used a flathead screwdriver to get them off.
Brake light is not a problem, just disconnect it.
