To sell with mods or w/o?
To sell with mods or w/o?
After months of deliberation, I'm 90% convinced that I'm going to sell my G that I've grown very fond of. I'm debating whether I should sell (private party) with mods or sell it stock? There really isnt that many mods, just
- Projector headlights with custom demon eyes
- Wheels
- Tints (rear light overlays)
- Short shifter
- Hardwired V1 radar detector
What do you guys think? I'm not too worried about the tints, short shifter, or even the hardwired radar link.
Thanks

I could be wrong but I feel like, the more stock a car is, the better. When I'm looking for a used car, I don't like seeing a lot of previous owner modifications. I guess the question for you is, do you want to make some extra cash on the side? I doubt your car will be worth more to anyone bc of rims or headlights.
I just bought a used G35. i saw lots of modified ones.. and didn't even bother looking at them.
i bought a stock G35 from original owner. only mod was intake.. windows weren't even tinted or anything lol. i would try to convert back to stock.. it'll make it more open to broader audience/buyers

I sold my car stock... worse than stock, but in our eyes, it was stock.
I made more money selling them seperatly than to sell as a whole. More work, but worth it in the end.

From what you listed you're not really modded compared to some of us! Sell it as is, the wheels are a bonus and no one will know there's a short shifter in there....unless you say something. Just throw a sign on her and wait for the calls. I've never owned a car I haven't modded and never had any issues selling them....ever!

If you still have the stock wheels, put them back on. Pull the VI and tuck the wires in. Leave the rest alone. Nobody will be the wiser.
Contrary to popular belief, not everyone that drives a G is a member here.

Hell, I have a 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan for sale right now. It's box stock and it's not getting any takers. Problems is, most people think it's "A Civic", you know, vibrating I4, Automatic etc. To a person, eveyone that has looked at it says, "Oh, it's a manual huh? I can't drive a manual". EVEN THE GUYS! What a bunch of pussies....
