Arrow Newbie - What years/trims have OEM brembos?

Hi, new here. I've owned a few hondas, and lately a lexus, all modded to different levels. And I'm new to Nissans/Infinitis. I've been lurking around and settled for a G35.

My question is which ones have the brembo brakes?? As this car will be autocrossed and want to start off with something better than the stockers...

I didn't find any specific info to answer my question in the FAQs and I already know which ones are revup and non. Thanks in advance!

Technically, these Brembos can be considered "stockers" so that comment was moot xd. But as far as I know, only the sport packaged 03 and 04's have them. I haven't done my research though.

My internet was slow so denboy beat me to it >____>

I see thanks guys. But this means that since rev ups are 05+, then no rev up models have brembos from the factory? (other than manually upgraded)

I wonder why they didn't have brembos after 04...

Lots of people complained about premature wear with Brembos so Infiniti ditched them. They were also taken out probably to save on cost. And just to clarify, only the 05+ 6MTs have rev-up motors. So correct, no rev-ups have Brembos (from the factory anyway)

OK gotcha there had to have been a reason. But how about Brembo performance versus Nissan brand? If Brembo is much better it may just be worth it.

Depends on what you're going to do. With just DD, the non-Brembo brakes will do just as well as the Brembo. If you're gonna autocross or track, Brembos would probably outperform the non-Brembos with respect to brake fading. IMO, after driving cars with both brakes, the bite is just the same. It really all comes down to what brake pads you're gonna use.

Not to mention, you can buy some used Brembo kits for around $1000 which isn't bad at all.

That's really good.

This car will be a daily driver with the ocasional (whenever possible ) autox event.

In all my cars I've used Hawk pads so they would be upgraded anyways.

Because 05+ are cheaper, less dusty, and stop better than the brembos (not in terms of repeated braking).

Good info thx.

And, say, if I were to get a G35 with these brembo brakes. Where would one get these 'Brembo' replacement pads and rotors?

Other than the stealership, I think Tirerack has them, or even the vendors here.

Is your car used? Maybe a previous owner upgraded?
