Question G35 Coupe, 03, 04, or 05?

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, and soon I'll be one of the G35 coupe owners. But right now I can't decide which year model should I get? I can only chose from 03 04 and 05. I like the 05 g35 because it is a new model, but, at the same time, I LOVE the Brembo brakes that came with only 03 and 04's g coupes. Can you guys give me some suggestions? Thank you very much! Appreciated!
PS: Oh btw i am gonna get the AT one cuz my parents are not going to get me a stick shift.

If your gonna get an auto then get the 05 cause brembos only come with the manual. Also the 05 model has way nicer interior, i was in the situation as you are brembos or nicer interior but I found a white with black interior with brembos. When you get the 05 you can always upgrade the brakes to brembos. Oh and dont forget to use the search button before you make a new thread because you will find almost all your answers there. Good luck and post some pics when you get it.

As oneup said, go with the '05 if you're getting a AT. If you can con your parents into buying the 6 spd, then it's '04 all the way.

You won't be getting Brembos with your 5AT! What you need to look for is a coupe with the lowest mileage that's been garage kept and has service records....and a clear CARFAX! If you can find one with those, you'll be in great shape! Low mileage....under 50K miles.

in your situation, 05. main reason being the interior. and 06+ will be the same, if you want to change the headlights or tail lights back to the 05 or earlier style.

just look for low miles like gary said.

i was in the same boat as you. ended up getting an 05 AT with 48k miles on it with one owner and all maintenance records. the condition is flawless (except for a tear in the leather seat that always happens to Gs .

if you're doing AT like i did, i'd get 05+ because of the better looking interior. I do like the 06+ tail lights and project headlights though. oh well. maybe i'll upgrade later on

Just something to consider... don't get hung up on the brembo's unless you plan to track the car and wish to replace your pads even more often. They work fantastic, no doubt, but there are cons to them as well (especially for a DD).

Mind if I hijack this one since you got your answer?

I'm looking for a G35 coming from the world of BMWs. Looking for a DD and occasional track car (also getting out of racing), but I plan to keep it stock. I want a MT, LSD, and all the power I can get. Can I just get a Sport model of any year and get all that, or do I need a specific year/package?

Thanks,

Kyle

BTW, looking to trade a 99 Spec Miata for said G35 if anyone is interested.

2005+ manual transmissions have the 298hp rev-up motor, 2003-2004 manuals have the 280hp non-revup motor. so if u're doing manual and want 'all the paper you can get' then i would get 2005+

2006-2007 have better/different body styles (tail lights, spoiler, project head lights)
