Bulbs keep burning out WTF!

2003 G Coupe, had a bulb burn out like 6 months ago. Finally got around to replacing it, only to find out it had burned out again 3 days later. GF took the car out tonight to get some food and stuff, she comes back and now BOTH the bulbs are burnt out. This is happening out of nowhere and I am extremely aggitated over the whole thing. What should I be checking for before I light my car on fire?

Before blaming it on the electrical system, check:

1. Did you touch the bulbs while installing them? They blow easily from the oil from your fingers.

2. Quality of bulbs and/or proper wattage of bulbs?

3. Are the fuses blown as well when the head lights go out? If not, it could be the alternator/voltage regulator and you should get that checked out. Also test the battery to see if the voltage is right. There could be a surge..

One last thing, make sure you're not crankin the car while your lights are on. That could cause your lights to blow too.

1. When I installed the bulbs, I made sure to wear the latex glove deals so as not to get them dirty.

2. I get the bulbs from a vendor here, 4300K bulbs.

3. I haven't checked the fuses yet. Where are they at?

I believe the fuse for headlights is in the large fuse box next to the battery. If it's still intact, its probably a short somewhere else in the system and you'll want to take a look at the voltage regulator and alternator.

Haha it's been in the works. It'll be done in a couple weeks, and then it's going under wraps again, lol. Note the sig

Btw, do you live in the apartments off of N. D'Andrea? I think I saw your G parked there when I was working.

My friends live up there, and my gf was living with them for a while, so I was up there 3 or 4 times a week. Are you finally painting the trunk? Lol

Check for traces of water / coolant in the engine bay.

Okay, so I know headlights are the fusebox behind the battery or whatever, but which fuse are they exactly?

I just found that, do I have to check the relays? I checked all the other smaller fuses, they were all good.

No relays for the headlights, unless you've modded them.. Check the voltage of your battery, I dunno, but you may have some problems with the voltage regulator.
