Because we know our cars are superior to others in so many ways. Example: I was in downtown denver late last night and this stupid S2000 sees me and speeds around me and cuts me off, then gets to a red light, proceeds to peel out for 3 seconds, speed up to about 40 then to another red light, then turns left peeling out and spinning out, another red light, revs his engine all the way up next to a bunch of people outside a bar, then peels out again leaving tire smoke blowing into them. I heard one person outside the bar say "what an idiot", then another say "wow look at that car" and i look over and they are pointing at my car. He did all that work and the G got the compliment.

Had to share my story because I love this car!

Not every S2000 driver is like that though. Just the other day, I got a thumbs up from a brand new black one when I was in my G35. I've seen G35 drivers do the same thing to me, and Z drivers as well.

The G35 is not exempt from idiocy.

 

On a related note, my wife and I dropped my Mom and Dad off at the W Hotel on Adams St. in downtown Chicago. We pulled up to the valet area at almost the exact same time as a black 3 series. Both doormen came over to my car, and it wasn't until the first doorman motioned, that the other went to service the Bimmer.

The valet looked honestly disappointed when I told him we were just dropping off, and that we wouldn't be parking the car.

G35 drivers have nothing to prove...even to a BMW.

 

The problem is that for every post like yours, there are sixteen posts on this forum by pre-pubescent G35 drivers bragging about how they smoking an S2K, or some other poor hunk of tin.

 

i agree. ive had my share of Z/G owners trying to prove something. although the majority i encounter are pretty nice, there are always exceptions to the rule

Well said Martin.... I got a ride in an S2K just yesterday and fell in love with the car. I would definitely consider having an S2k for a second car, that is if I did not have a G35 but anotherr luxury/family car. That car has a totally different feel. There are idiot/kid drivers for every car out there....

 

yes not everyone who owns a s2k is like that~ personally if insurance wasn't high for the s2k compared to the G......i would have gotten a s2k~ don't get me wrong i LOVE my G but im only 23 and insurance for a 2 seater....would have put a hole in my pockeT~ ^^
