Twisted Dipstick

Is this normal for a dipstick? I've never owned an Infiniti or Nissan so I don't know if the dipstick is suppose to be this twisted.

yes that is our dipstick... you'll also notice that Nissan did a poor job engineering it as well as it is difficult to get a good accurate reading on it.

yeah, I learned that the first time I checked the oil. I had to wait the next morning to get a more accurate reading. Putting the dipstick back in is not a simple task neither, but with little patience and good lighting it's manageable

Don't get me wrong, I love my coupe but there are some real head scratchers on this car. Its one thing if a car maker botches some new, high tech feature, but it is quite another when Nissan can't get a dipstick, or power windows or seatbelt retractors right.

LOL! Completely agree. Nissan is just a few years behind.

I mean 2008 before they went touchscreen?

Honda went Touchscreen back in 2001.
