Question For All 2005 owners

With all the acknowledgement of the squeaks and rattles that affect the '03 and '04 coupes, I am wondering if the '05's are any different? I know you haven't had your cars for very long, but are you having any problems with this? Did any of you have rattles from the moment you drove the car off the dealers lot? It would be nice if Infiniti had made some effort to correct these problems for '05, but this is probably wishful thinking.

Thanks for your replies,
Prolix

Coming in January - '05 DG coupe 5AT, Premium Pkg., Performance Pkg., Sat. radio

Had mine for about 8 days.

rattles occur in most cars not only infiniti, my 04 honda accord even has rattle sound comes out of the front dash board. so as long it's not too noticeable it shouldn't be a problem.

I have an early '04 and haven't heard a sound even in the 28 degree temp.

I think all cars have some sounds.

Yes my 05 has a little rattle or clicking noise that comes from the aluminum that houses the AC and Radio. If I put pressure on it, the sound stops. This will be something that I will eventually get fixed by the dealership. Other than that, it is pretty silent.

I noticed it the second day I had the car (last Thursday). I drove a 01 Jetta before so I am kind of used to small noises.

I have had my 05 coupe for 2 weeks and havent heard a single rattle while driving. It seems so much quieter since I am comparing it to my 2003 350z that rattled all the time.

I have had mine for a month and over 1,100 miles and it is completely silent. Actually, I have not had much of chance to listed to the XM because I love to turn off the radio and listen to nothing more than the sweet exhaust.

Riding around in my brother's '04 Acura TL over the Christmas holiday I noticed more rattles than in my '03 G coupe, which does occasionally have a few, but not enough to bother me. I also noticed a lot of cold air draftiness while riding in the TL's passenger seat. And Honda has one of the best quality reputations in the business. Our G's aren't perfect either, but mine's just fine by me...

What are you talking about… rattles, I agree with you, every car has some sounds and I understand some on them can drive you crazy, but c’mon, listening to it just to bitch here…?!

It’s not a brick of metal that won’t rattle, there’re bunch of moving parts/clips/screws/bolts you name it in the car, so of course it will rattle to a reasonable extend.

Try to shake your fridge it will rattle. My TV rattles on occasions

Happy New Year everyone!
