Dealership frustration...help from Infiniti service guys needed!

First off, my car is covered under an Infiniti Elite warranty thru 2012, $0 deductible.

I took my car into the dealership today to have the infamous rear-axle click fixed. It's the only problem I've experienced with my '05 coupe to date. The service manager confirms the problem, but tells me it won't be covered under my warranty or ANY warranty for that matter because "no parts failed" and "no parts need to be replaced." To me this is complete BS! WTF do I pay for a warranty for if I can't get stuff like this taken care of?

It sounds like plenty of other people have gotten this done under warranty, so is the dude I talked to at my dealer full of crap???

There was a TSB issued in November of 2005 for axle chick and how to repair it, this is the reference number ITB05-002b. This should be covered under warranty since Nissan knows it's an issue. Gotta love Infiniti service or the lack there of

Just got elite warranty myself so i been reading the fine prints. A small part of what's not covered includes "squeaks, rattles..." So im guessing the advisor was referring to the clicking sound as part of not covered.

But like Gary just said, there's a TSB on your exact problem. Print it out and show it to them and ask nicely if they can work something out, while reminding them exactly why you purchased an xtended warranty in the first place.

Alright, well I guess I'll call the dealership and see if I can speak to someone higher up on the chain. I did print off a copy of the TSB and give it to the service rep when I dropped the vehicle off, but it didn't seem to make a difference. He said he'd never heard of the problem before, which made me worry right there that he was clueless...

LOL, that's the excuse they use all the damn time. "We never heard of that before".

Seriously, every single Infiniti dealership. It's like it's printed in the employee handbook.

^^ LOL many of the clean service advisors may be clueless... but the dirty techs are usually up to speed. At least from my observations.
