Consider the cost of headers plus install and the end result....2 to 4 RWHP. Now think about where the restriction is in your exhaust system....here's a clue "The OE Cats!" Replacing them with BERK'S HFCs will give you a gain of 8 RWHP at a cost less than $600 which includes install, less if you can DIY. And they're legal (50 states) with no stinky exhaust like test pipes!

No Stillen doesn't make their own cats, they're probably made by Magnaflow like their exhaust systems. Check our MARKETPLACE under vendor exhaust for the best price on BERK'S, you won't be sorry!

Any tampering of a car's emissions equipment is "illegal", at least in CA: http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d16_5/vc38391.htm
Install averages $500 for minimal gains, not worth it unless money isn't an issue. HFCs or straight pipes should be your next mod.

Shawn, people talking about the HFC's is right. When I installed my HFC's I did feel the car pull a little bit more at higher RPM's. It was not dramatic, but I did notice it. I put headers on, and the only thing I noticed was that exhaust tone being amplified and a bit crispier which I thought was great. Honestly, if you want to add small amount of hp and a better sounding exhaust system. Just get some test pipes, and I believe they aren't that expensive. GL...
