Is there an echo in here....? Why not include Vortech as long as we're posting "Bolt Ons!" That's a $6K bolt on if you do nothing else....and cool too!

Make sure the XYZ is included in the exhaust, add a tune, and this answer is money!!

OP I know you said one mod, but we're not down like that. Kinda like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one.

+1 on the plenum spacer, if you are deciding to go test pipes, make sure you buy from a reputable brand which can be costly. The cheapest ones that come to my mind are the m2 and megan test pipes. Both of these can be iffy when it comes to the quality and welds. Some people have gone through multiple test pipes because they break. Although test pipes are a cheaper route for power, you might want to find out how it sounds with your exhaust (rasp, cel light). If you decide to go test pipes and it ends up sounding like a fart can, then you might end up putting more money into it just to get rid of the rasp or etc. As for intake, you will get nothing from it, aside from sound and engine look, so if there $200+ intake is worth it for you then go ahead. I recently heard the stock exhaust with the cut resonators, and imo it wasn't that big of a noticeable different, the sound was just slightly louder.

Not only are sg long tube headers rare, have you seen the price tag on them?? much better off going towards FI in those price ranges.

Test pipes are test pipes unless they have some sort of built in resonator. Otherwise, it's just a piece of exhaust tube that replaces your cats. I've never heard of them breaking....and I don't understand how one brand could be that much better than the other. If you're interested in test pipes, I'd go down to your local muffler shop and they can probably put something together for you for less than $50. It's retarded to spend mucho dinero on name brand test pipes.

As far as massive gains...don't expect it from anything short of forced induction. It's just not there. Granted, a spacer and removing your stock cats will probably give you gains...but it's not like you're going to $hit yourself when you step on the gas because its so much faster. A full exhaust system and intake will do little to nothing for you, short of making your car louder. So it's up to you how you want to spend your money.

Did you bottom out on something? I don't see how exhaust tubing could just crack in half....

It happens. Worn engine mounts, lack of flex pipe...etc, the torque of an engine can break metal tubing on some setups.
