Im not sure if it is or not.. Do you just pry up on the silver part? You dont have to do anything to the shifter??

I understand your concern, but I have an automatic so I can't really be sure if it's the same. I think the DIY's on here say it's virtually the same. I think you put it in 4th? Or neutral, I don't know. Don't do anytihng until I go check one more time. Give me a moment

Edit: Put it in 4th and then pry the panel thingy upwards. I know that it's kinda scary the first time too; I was so hesitant, so I'll gladly help you with this where ever I can. Remember to keep your battery unhooked if you're going to be removing harnesses and stuff.

That little piece above the clock is loose for me. I always thought it was just broken? How do I clip it back in exactly? Do i need to remove it first?

I know how to remove it, I cant seem to get it to clip back in correctly, It clips in and stays loose (i can move the piece up and down easily). I guess what im trying to do is get the sides to clip in in order to make it firm.

In the video he calls it the locking tabs. I just cant seem to lock them back in, nothing seems broken, the 2 tabs are there and the 2 holes where they connect are intact. It doesnt help that I cant see a damn thing when the upper trim starts to clip in either.

Maybe I need to remove the lower trim too and then put them back in at the same time already connected?
