New guy & a killer deal

Greetings G35 community from Frisco Texas

Two weeks ago I bought a 2003 coupe 6mt with 80k on the clock for eight thousand dollars! The options I know so far are 18" rims, Brembo brakes, Blose audio, Factory spoiler and HID lights. Its super clean and in great shape all around and I am very happy with it!

There were only a few things wrong with it at the time of purchase. The headlights were a little oxidized, the front tires are feathering badly and the engine wanted to die at idle after it was warmed up which I fixed with a good cleaning of the throttle body. I think the previous owner was under the impression something major was wrong with it wanting to stall out.

The only other thing I have noticed is when I turn the car off I can hear a ticking noise coming from the engine. Im pretty sure its a worn timing chain slapping the guides but im not positive. It does not make the noise at any other time.

See yall on the road

Here are some pics!

Hey man lots of members here in Frisco, Plano, Carrollton and surrounding areas. I am in Frisco my self if you ever need help or have questions. We usually meet at cars and coffee once a month or have other meets setup as well. Check out the DFW section and glad to see you picked the "MANUAL" option which comes with complimentary Brembo Calipers

Manual transmission was a must have for me, I get way too bored in autos! Im glad there are so many people in the area, id defiantly like to go to the meets and such. I have been in Frisco for 18 years or so, these last few years have been crazy with all the new construction! I live right by Staley Middle school.
I had my heart set on a 350z until I realized there isnt a 2+2, I have a 2 year old so back seats were a necessity. I couldn't be happier with my G! Even with my sons seat in the back there is no loss of legroom in the front.

On Saturday I was at a light on Spring Valley in Addison with a sedan and a coupe in the same color along with a 350z. I tried to have some fun with the other coupe but he didn't want to play! I have not seen that many coupes in Frisco, I see a lot of g35/37 sedans though.

Welcome!

Congrats on the deal and for getting a DG, the color of real men.

For the oxidized headlights, pick up those headlight restorations from walmart. I used the turtle wax kit on mine and it worked wonders! Only $8
