Tune or CS Rear
Tune or CS Rear
Ok guys so I've had a few dilemmas with my G lately. To clarify first I have an 05 6MT coupe with V2 ART pipes, XYZ pipe, Mrev2 with 5/16 spacer all motordyne products. I am deciding whether to get an Osiris tune or get a Chargespeed rear. Here are my dilemmas so first dilemma my engine is running super lean right now to the point where I feel my engine could get damaged. Anytime I rev over 4000 rpm's my exhaust starts smoking like crazy. I can't even drive the car spirited which is how the car is supposed to be driven and how I prefer to drive. I know I still don't have a full exhaust quite yet but feel I am ready for a tune with what I got so please don't tell me wait for all your bolt-ons to get a tune even tho you think I may not be ready. Ok.... 2nd dilemma someone backed into me in my school parking garage didn't leave a note or nothing hit and run
I don't want to go through insurance to get it fixed cuz my rates will go up. I've decided to get the poly version of the Chargespeed Rear. So if it were you guys would you get a tune so you can drive spirited again, or we you fix your bumper to get looking good again and just cruise? Any and all opinions are welcome! Thanks! Sorry for the long post.

Tune. Make sure your car is running properly before throwing money into unnecessary/optional items. Nomsayin?
After you add on the rest of your performance/exhaust components, re-tunes only run ~$150.

Yea for real function>appearance. Plus it will be nice to get those extra ponies, imroved throttle response, and AFR's fixed cuz my gas mileage is sh** right now. hopefully Osiris is everything users say about it.
Ok guys tune is 9/19/2011 at forged. Hopefully Osiris is what everyone says it is. I just learned lately that unfortunately my revup engine has the OC issue.

if the OC issue is bad enough and your under warranty get that engine replaced
if not under warranty and you get tuned you MUST keep tabs 24/7 on your oil level or KABOOM!

its pretty consistent, i check it frequently and keep it at the H level but over a 1000 mile period ill have put 2 quarts in the motor
if you hear noises thats your motor grinding metal:metal without lubrication..... very bad could have damaged bearings ect already if that is the case

I def think I damaged the bearings it took me a couple days to figure what it was. After the oil was changed the noise went away. I guess I will just have to do an engine swap eventually. Is there is a way to fix this issue? Is it possibly a leak in an oil piston ring? What is the reason these motors have this problem?
