Hello, Im new to this board as a member but have been reading and enjoying it for a few months now I wan to get a mountain bike but have no clue if I will be able to transport it on my G. Has anybody done this? If so links or product names would be great.

 

I found that infiniti makes one, but it seems to be for the sedan, i emailed my sales rep to find out if it will work on the coupe. Ill post what I find out. The price is $260 damn!!!

you could always just stick one arm out the window to steer the bike and let the bike just ride alongside the car......

G35Gnome, how did you find out Infiniti sells a rack? I'd like to know if they have a ski rack to fit a coupe?

 

Dont get me wrong, I love the lines of the G and I am not interested in a permanent roof rack (needs to be easly removed) Furthermore I am not so fortunate as some of you here to own a fun car and a dirty work car. I am a single 24 yr old living on my own and paying for the G, so please spare me the sarcasm

I have seen bike racks that mount on the trunk also, but found no such thing for the G

Thanks G35Gnome! I'll make another inquiry with my salesmen and check fitment for the coupe. If I hear anything on racks for the coupe I'll definitely posts.

Have you checked Thule, Yakima or Barrecrafter for roofracks? I think they may have a universal trunk mount but I don't think you want to do that.

i hear you on only have a g and not having a work car, but i have a bike rack i bought @ sports authority for $40 and it hold 2 bikes, it straps on the trunk lid, i have not used it yet on my g35 (use it on girlfriends jetta), but if used correctly it will do no harm. hope that helps.

 

Any rack that attaches to the trunk has to rub on some painted part of the vehicle, I have a cheap one for my beater. My beater is beat and I want to drive around the counrty and ride as many rails to trails as I can find. I am from DC and did the Katy trail in MO a couple years ago. I was able to fit my bike inside my Maxima then, not even close in the G . I am hoping for a hidden hitch kind of thing at some point in time, sooner rather than later but I may have to wait.
