where do you guys hide your rear view camera at?

hi all. its 5 am haha....i been up all night researching for the double din in dash navigation.
here is last question before i go sleep..

i want rear view camera with the double din and thinking about where to put the camera at..so to you out there with rear view cameras, where do you put your camera lens at?
I went to best buy today and they told me they only going to mount it on license plate, which i think it looks ugly and UNOEM

i like how g37 put the lens under trunk spoiler, i have 06 coupe with spoiler, i wonder if its posible...i mean I took a look at it today and there is LED lights there, is there enough room for the camera?

I have kenstyle rear by the way, anyone has same bumper and with camera? where did you put urs at?

to whom dont have cameras, where wuld you recommend to put it at..
open for all opinions.
thanks for reply..

Welll... On the license plate frame wouldn't really be all that visible. The cameras are pretty tiny... I don't think that would be ugly at all. If you can custom fit it elsewhere, good luck... I doubt Best Buy will do any of that fabrication work and stuff...

Also note I don't have a camera so I don't really know. I don't mind turning my head to look back.

have you searched google or ebay for license plate frames that have camera mounts in them? so maybe they don't look so crappy?

now you've got me wanting to get into all my audio mods. DAMN YOU! wheels and exhaust first....wheels and exhaust first.....wheels and exhaust first.....

ima go look and see what i can find.

this looks fine dude this looks fine dude

i don't see much point in spending a bunch of time and money engineering a custom system when you can get something like this that is super clean.

the only thing i wonder is how good of a view you would get that low? seems like a higher mount would give you a better view. wonder if you could put one of the new OEM cameras in somehow. a "retrofit" of sorts...i think my mom in law has hers under/in the Mt. Fuji logo. she has an EX thing.

also....don't have your stuff installed at best buy. they screwed up my install on my ford explorer. and they screwed up my buddies install on his G. they ran the wire thru the firewall and it drooped down and made water drip on some electronic component of the AT and it wouldn't shift past second gear. it was 2 weeks old.

hey thanks..yeah im going to get a license fram with camera, they look very good...

if im you i wount spend too much money on exhaust...double din unit with nav and camera and all other good stuff you can used it everyday..it makes car feels much more luxury too..plus, the exhaust on our car sounds already really sexy..

the reason i want to get my stuff install in best buy is that it comes with lifetime warranty and its a nationwide chain so incase i move, i can always get my warranty in other location....but the best buy guy i talk to yesterday yeah he kno nothing about install on a G, so im going to talk to him again when i get all my part..my plan is I will sent him a link of walternaut's post through email and tell him to read the post after work so that he has general idea of how stuff on G should be installed.. plus im going to be asking to be around when they do the installation, so i can make sure they dont mess anything up.....
did you friend went to their warranty and their insurance?they should pay for all those mess....

^^^ That sounds like a fair reason to stick to Best Buy. Plus you've decided to stick with the License Plate Camera, and I'm sure Wrathernauts (walternaut lol) guide will be very handy to the guy installing.

You ever consider doing the install yourself?

i did...i check out some diy post but it looks pretty complicated....im not a tech guy and im not really good with hand lol, i cant even install tint on my own.the only successful diy i had done is painting a home depot grill mesh for my kurumaz....and its only 100$ for best buy to install it.....
but who know, i might change my mind and try to do it on my own, cuz its where the fun of modifying at, plus its true lifetime warranty since i can alway repair it on my own if i know how to install it.

With the kenstyle it should be pretty easy. Just hide it around the license plate...
