I know Tony at MotorDyne spent a long time perfecting his exhaust systems, that doesn't happen over night and the gains are far more than 5 HP. According to DSPORT mag, synthetic oil is worth 4 RWHP in a 370Z. I picked up 24 RWHP between the MD spacer, HKS exhaust and my BERK'S HFCs "dyno proven". I love how NOOBS come on here and throw out their theorys based on what?

Magnaflow is your argument?? Please. Magnaflow doesn't even make a true dual exhaust for our cars, let alone a FULL exhaust system. That point aside, the exhausts I'm referring to are the ones which are 2-3x the price of a $600 Magnaflow exhaust. The 370z comment is irrelevant...that's a far cry from a G35. And when I say a "custom" exhaust from a muffler shop, I'm referring to a name brand muffler, along with custom mandrel bent piping. Typically the same concept of any mass-manufactured name-brand exhaust...minus the shiny stainless steel. No difference, and fits precisely. Please show me some solid before and after dyno results showing much more than a 10hp gain with an exhaust alone....not with hfc's/test pipes, not with an mrev2, spacers, etc. I'm talking oem exhaust vs. aftermarket. Not done by the exhaust manufacturer, or the magazine that sells the manufacturer advertising space. You're probably the same person who thinks a CAI adds 10hp too, right? Go back to reading your super tuner mags and saving your allowance for what they say is the "best."

You don't have to swap. You just put a second set on. Weld them all together. It'll be awesome!!

dont forget that they also make your motor sound like a V12. but it's an upgrade and they are backordered until February 30th.

Most muffler shops do NOT do mandrel bends. The area being bent is a smaller diameter than the non bent part of the tubing. Restricts exhaust flow.

You are correct, most run-of-the-mill muffler/mechanic shops don't. Dunno how it is in your area, but any larger city should have atleast a shop or two that does mandrel bends...all it is is a specific machine. I know there's several around here, but then again this area may be a little more prominent in racing/tuning then your town.

mandrel bends do NOT restrict air flow in regards to muffler piping. the only other option is crush bends. most shops don't do them because the machines to do it are way more expensive...not because it restricts air flow.

and this was a bitch and moan thread anyway and the OP hasn't even posted since. so we adopted it and molded it into a different pissing contest.
