IF you were to sell your G35 what would you get around the 15-18k range?

Do either of those fit into his price range? If so, definitely something to look at.

Is250 hands down best choice. If you have your baby in the car even 50% of the time them steering response and break neck speed should only be of 50% importance in your decision. A bone stock 250 is not much slower than a bone stock g sedan that many of you are suggesting.
And sure buy a bimmer... But only if you are a very competent mech. My e36 m3 needed a tune up and most places wouldn't even touch it. Dealership wanted $550! Found a garage that did it for $400 but good god! Reliability was also an issue. If you think the Infiniti stealership is a moneypit wait until you meet the nice gentlemen that run te service department down at bimmer.

[QUOTE=tibasnatch;6115605]I really love my G...its an o3 auto with 83k miles...coupe....BUT i have a 16 month old son and I really want more space so a four door would be great however I just do not like the looks of a 4 door g35.....

#1 you need to take stock in what Blue Dream sez...next it is my opinion we WILL be looking at gasoline prices down the road for $4.75 ga. for reg. they have now mandated 15% ethanol which is going to reduce power by some 6 %... start to weigh ALL of the factors...Insurance, gas cost per year. maintenance (BMW is out) Remember you will have to live with your choice for many years. and last personally I do not like the 4 dr look of any car...the future looks bleak to me and if it were my choice I would just try to hang on to what you have.. We are now in an environment where the average worker does not know if his chief bean counter is going to CUT your hours or lay you off to cut overhead...what we have today is called the great speedup.

Thumbs up to the guy that mentioned the Volvo S60 R. I had one of those and loved it. The interiors on them are pretty nice, the only thing that was somewhat awkward was the shifter design. Plus it's AWD. Honestly though, if you're looking for a sedan that's fun to drive try to find an e46 330i ZHP. It's a 6 speed with like 10 more hp and 10 more torque and stiffer suspension. They say it's one of the best bmw drivers cars out there. There are a bit tricky to find, but definitely worth the money

if you are looking used... 3.5 altima or maxima might be your best bang for your buck plus youll keep it within the nissan family if your that attached to your G.
the cts-v is awesome but not in your range, the price of the used car has gone up. and you dont want something with like 75k+ miles
if you can find an unmodded Subaru Wrx (good luck) thats the way i would go, cheap, fuel efficient, fun as all hell, fast, awd, and safe. Plus subaru is known for the best customer serivce.
dont get a beamer for that price, bc your just asking for a high maintenance bill, same with audi and Mercedes.
Acura TL ... great choice. Last you a long time, safe, fun, lux, and in your price range... that probably gets my vote.

I agree with the majority of this statement and then this was said:

Until they solve their fuel pump failure issue, you shouldn't say this. Reliable? 335? I'm pretty sure our petty window motors problems would be a cakewalk to the issues those guys have.

My personal favorites (other than the G) are the TL-s A spec and IS350.

Jason
A nice car, but very expensive suspsension system to maintain. Also turbo. Kinda scary for the maintanence costs.

This is the best suggestion thus far, but CTS-Vs are kinda hard to find for 15 in good shape. You'll want to check to make sure the diff is the revised unit and that it doesn't have NAV issues.

To be honest, if you are going into hardcore daddy mode, I agree with this last suggestion. Face it, you need practical. Even a G sedan is too cramped (IMO) for a baby seat. My sister had an 06 for a while and had to get rid of it. I'd look into Altimas, Camrys, Accords, Etc. nothing wrong with family/economy cars. The positive is that when you unload it the future buyer won't be as **** as they would be with a premium mark like acura, bmw, etc.
