Looking for a Chrome Black trunk Infiniti Emblem

Hey guys, as stated in the title, i am looking for a Chrome Black Infiniti Emblem. I know theres are a hundred threads about this already (believe me i checked them all), but since most or all of them are at least 3 years old, i decided to ask you guys personally.

I understand that Infinit-parts.com DOES sell them, however i am not looking to spend $200 on it. instead i am hoping one of you has one that your willing to part with. If not, maybe you can tell me of any places or sites that i can mail an emblem to and have them give it a black chrome finish. I checked ebay, amazon, and any other place that might sell them but had no luck. Hopefully one of you guys can help me out. if not, i might just keep my trunk completely debadged.

Oh, and in case it matters, i own a 2004 Silver 6mt Coupe.

thanks for your time!

wonder what it would look like if you got it tinted? take it to a tint shop and see what they say. i've never tangled with tint, dunno if it could hold the tight radius or not.

worth a shot, they'd probably only charge you 20 bucks or something...

Hey Guys,

Thanks again for the advice! i thought id post back and show you the final result for those who were interested in having black chrome emblems.

i considered all the different ways of doing it, but ultimately i went with the cheapest...and im really glad i did because it turned out really well!

I used Rust-Oleum "Plastic Primer" and "Acrylic Enamel Gloss Black". It took quite a few coats of primer to even out. for some reason, the paint would slide and leave very small but VERY VISIBLE dots on the emblem. Im sure there's an easy way to avoid or fix this, but i am a very inexperienced painter so i just kept hitting it with more coats until it evened out. i think about 4 coats of primer did it. after that, i threw on about 3 coats of gloss black and i think it looks pretty good.

I know a couple of you recommended that Dupli-Color "Shadow" spray and i agree that it would probably work better. But i personally cant see much difference between the black i used and the shadow black (aside from a glossier finish). Not to mention the Shadow paint is about $20, versus the $5 i spent on the two i used hahaha

well i hope this helps anyone who is interested in doing the same thing. Feel free to ask me any questions or tell me what you think of the final product. Peace out

.....you said black chrome. you meant you wanted to make your chrome emblems BLACK. not BLACK CHROME. that's why we suggested the products we did.
