I'm guessing no one here has driven an S4....well I have, a 2011 S4...and let me tell you...it ***** on my G & I would give up my G any day for a S4.

 

These were the responses i was looking for. Im glad you guys are mature enough to recognize other cars that are better. Most forums are so ignorant and only think their cars are the best. I'll start checking out the s4.

 

Then why don't you...!!! OP asked about a 2005. You can buy a 2005 Audi S4 for 16,500. Surely you can afford that. For a car that is so much better than the G35.

 

i say don't worry about it. The G is going to look so much better.

 

Until you realize it's in the repair shop more than your garage (not to generalize, but this is my personal experience with Audis and I am not alone)

Great comparison...putting a 2011 S4 against a G35 which is pushing 5 years old. How about putting your S4 which is Audi's lowest priced S series against a g37 IPL. Apples to apples. How about your S4 against my 2010 Mercedes Benz E550 coupe...huh!

 

Looked up the times. Apperantly the G35 and the s4 0-60 times are the same. In the quater mile, the G35 is behind by .3 seconds. What I dont get is how this is possible with the s4 being a 4.2 v8.. and the G being a v6.

I'll cut you a break since you drive a G. The S4 has a 3.0 liter V6 engine. Yes that's not a 3.5 or 3.7. It's puts out 333 hp with 325 lb-ft of torgue. It will cost you $51,150 which is in the same price range as the 348hp G37 IPL.

 

I've driven a G37 S and I would still take the 2011 S4 over it, I have never driven an IPL but I don't plan on it since it has 18 extra hp and nothing really all that great, the audi quatro awd system is amazing and somthing that G37 IPL's don't have. You don't have to be a complete fan boy just face it G35's are not that great, hell thr not even good. it's an entry level luxury car. It's fat, it's slow & doesn't even look that amazing and it has it's fair share of problems, yeah I like my car it's cool but I'm not going to act like its better than it really is you guys need to realize that the G35 is not the best car in the world just cause you drive one.

 

Love this kind of threads, people driving the old G sedans think that all G's are alike. ROFLMAO. While my car can't roll up on a new S4, neither can your ols sedan roll up to my newer modded coupe. Way TFF.
Biggest difference between our Nissans and Audis, will be the cost of repairs. And, reliability.

Yeah that's good. You've never driven an IPL with 18 more horsepower and not carrying the extra weight of quatro yet you know that a quatro is better. Fanboy...kinda I bought my coupe in 2002 and understand what it is. Notice I own a Mercedes and a Mazda Miata. Not quite a fanboy. In 2002 the auto press called the G35 one of the best looking coupes ever...it still is. Ever drive any of Mercedes Benz AMG series. You should try one they are the equivalent to Audi's S4 series (cheapest MB AMG). Go to the Mercedes Benz dealer and drive the new C63 AMG which is MB's entry level performance car. 451hp standard with optional AMG package 480 hp and they also have a C63 black edition in the low 500hp. Then come back and tell me about the S4.
