Question Need ideas to close a gap around a Touch start button

I have installed a touch start button on my G.. And this thing works perfectly and looks almost stock, well the only thing that's still bugging me for now is that gap around the touch start. What can I use to cover that? any custom ideas or suggestions I could use here? It's been frustrating seeing that gap every time I drive.

the kit runs for about $240. install time varies; one of guys here says he got it installed in 2 hours @ $90/hr. whereas mine it took them 6 hours @ $65/hr. buttom line the product works great and secure. Im just hoping I'd find a way to close that gap around it...

Yes, write up please!

I would look for some rubber grommets to see if there's a way to close that gap. What's the diameter of the base on it? I'll look around to see if there's a trim bezel that'll work for that size.

the kit should've came with a rubber ring to cover that.. you were supposed to use the stock ring and than attach the rubber ring that came with the kit to make it look flush.. look up my thread and you will see what I'm talking about

Is this the stock ring you're referring to?? This is the outer O Ring on an 06 model, it's different from 03 - 05. would you know where I can purchase that one?

it looks like your missing the outer o ring on your car.. my car is an 05 and it had the outer o ring.. did you have one before? did the installer forget to put it back in... you shouldn't have a gap between your ignition and dash.. its just a plastic black piece.

06 models don't have that outer o ring on them :s all there is is that plastic ring I posted which has (LOCK ACC ON and START) around the ignition switch. I'm trying to get the same O ring you have, hopefully from somebody who has an 03 - 05 models... it's not gonna be an easy part to get

Wouldnt it be similar to installing a remote start...did they have to find some type of way to bypass the transponder?!?!

+1 about flushing it out

Also, about the price, if you pay 360 you can get a full keyless entry with push start button that replaces your factory key.

This is what I will be switching over to in a couple of months

I think it was worth the swap. I know I'd be happier once I find a way to make it look flush. Ideas welcome

Damn I didn't know this was possible. Definitely something I want to look into now.
