how to add extra HP

I have a stock 04 g35 5AT and im looking for any ideas to add extra 40 to 60 HP. I was thinking headers and Y pipe? let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks

Quality synthetic oil according to DSPORT mag. Seriously, HFCs (high flow cats) and a good exhaust like MotorDyne along with his 5/16" spacer then Stillens CAI will get you close.

That amount is unrealistic unless you are going F/I... Research and you will find you need a plenum spacer, new cats, and then maybe a full exhaust and tune.. You may be close to your 40 hp mark then.

F/I or look for mods that will create "usable" power together and not just create peak hp numbers. 15 peak hp at 5krpm is worthless if the power gains are 1hp elsewhere in the powerband.

Do you have a budget? I suggest setting one first. Anything you want to do with your G can probably be found here on the forums, but, if you don't set a limit it's hard to suggest the best answer for your question.

anyway, my answer is to go FI as it was stated earlier

HFC/Test Pipe, exhaust, plenum spacer should do...if not there's always F/I option
